What is the difference between Bluetooth, Apple Car Play and Android Auto car stereos?
A Bluetooth car stereo is audio only, no maps images etc. It allows you to wirelessly make phone calls and stream music from your phone.
Apple CarPlay is the way Apple iPhone connect to a car head unit to display any CarPlay enable apps on the screen. Example of CarPlay Apps include Waze, Spotify and Google Maps. Android Auto works similarly connecting Android phones only.
There are some head units that are Bluetooth only, or CarPlay only but most head units work on CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth.
Do you have a mobile fitting service?
We don’t offer a mobile service. We do have a large fully equipped workshop with a lot of parts in stock on-site.
Car Security
Why should I get a GPS tracker for my vehicle?
Installing a vehicle tracker is one a great way to protect your car.
• Rapid Theft Recovery - If your vehicle is ever stolen, a tracker dramatically increases the chances of getting it back. Police can pinpoint the exact location in real time.
• Real-Time Location Monitoring - Know where your vehicle is at any moment. You get instant visibility.
Is it worth getting an immobiliser for my vehicle?
Installing aftermarket immobiliser is a powerful layer of security that factory systems simply can’t match. A quality immobiliser stops thieves in their tracks. It can offer you:
• Added Security - Criminals use sophisticated digital tools to bypass factory security or intercept key-fob signals or relay attacks—where thieves extend and clone your key’s signal., if the correct authentication isn’t present, your engine stays completely locked down.
• Total Peace of Mind - You’ll know it has an added shield of protection 24/7.
• Ideal for Any Vehicle - Compatible with most makes and models, an immobiliser is the perfect security boost for older cars and modern vehicles.

Car Stereos
Is a head unit the same thing as a car stereo?
Yes. A head unit is an industry term referring to a car stereo. The head unit/car stereo is the central brain (or the head) of the car’s entertainment and information system, controlling audio, volume and hands-free phone connectivity etc.
How do I know if I need a new car stereo/head unit?
If you have a black screen, glitching or freezing chances are you will need to replace your car stereo.
A new head unit offers you Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality that an older model head unit doesn’t have.
Feel free to contact us by phone or email and we can further explain your options. You can trust us and our experienced team to look after you.
You are very welcome to visit our well-stocked showroom to see all our head units powered up and on display.
If I have a car stereo already, will you install it?
At Complete Car Sound we only install the products we supply from our trusted sources in our onsite workshop. We find what works best, for warranty purposes, is that products are installed at their place of purchase.

If the car has a standard dash and no complicated wiring it would take approx. 2-4 hours. If we are changing the speakers, or adding a reversing camera as well it would take longer.
We will quote you in advance the amount of labour required for the job. The time the vehicle is booked in the workshop will be longer to allow for lunch breaks and other interrupts to the working day.
For larger installations that include amps, subwoofers, sound deadening we may require the vehicle for a few days.

We do have a waiting area with seats in the showroom. There is also a Café 63 located very close by in Bowling St.
