Touch Slide Operation.
Just swipe your finger on the touch panel display, you can fast forward/ rewind AV content playing from DVD-Video, DivX, MP3/WMA/ACC and CD source formats, or scroll a list of files for you to select from. The GUI (Graphic User interface) on a wide colour LCD makes file access and playback from DVD, CD, iPod or other digital devices very easy, in keeping with the convenience of direct touch panel operation.
(Note: Touch slide fast forward/ rewind function not available in iPod)
5.8 inch Wide LCD Color Display with Touch Panel Operation
The AVH-P3150DVD reproduces clear, bright DVD images on its 5.8 inch LCD colour display, while the AG (Anti-Glare) screen coating prevents external light diffusion from impeding visibility. Settings, source access and playback control is all done via touch panel operation with a GUI (Graphic User Interface) that makes operation effortless.
Picture Quality Adjustment
In addition to LED-back light for brighter pictures, the Black Level Adjustment allows the unit to display deeper blacks that you'll appreciate when viewing movies. Colour Temperature Adjustment allows you to fine-tune colour quality ensuring a crisper, clearer picture.
Customisable Wallpapers
Choose from 4 types of BGP (Background Pictures) and 3 types of BGV (Background Visuals). Or customise your unit by setting your our favourite JPEG file as your wallpaper. Parked with no place to go? Now you can enjoy a slide show of your photos on a CD or USB device.
Link Play for iPod
Want to control the types of music you listen to in shuffle mode on your iPod? With Pioneer's Link Play button you can. Just plug your iPod directly into the unit using the optional cable, touch the Link Play button and select specific artists, albums, genres. Its that simple.
Direct Connection for iPod® and iPhone adds Convenience to AV Control
Connect your iPod to the AVH-P3150DVD for direct control of iPod audio and video menus, functions and selections via on screen touch panel. This makes song access quick and search extra quick and easy.
Speedier Search Using iPod and iPhone
Now Pioneer's latest head units are even easier to enjoy with an iPod. A new USB mechanism speeds up "List Search", refined processing speeds up " Alphabetical Search" for songs, artist name or album. "Touch Slide Operation" speeds up access to any file in the connected iPod.
AUX-In Mini Jack Connection for Audio and Video
Pioneer’s AV head units’ AUX-in mini jacks extend playback from external iPod® Audio,iPod® Video, MP4 player, digital camera and other portable digital audio/video playback devices. These jacks are built into the front panel for fast, trouble-free connection.
DivX® Playback
DivX® is the world’s most popular high-compression digital video format and does not appreciably compromise movie picture quality. Simply burn a movie from a PC onto a long-playing Video CD or DVD, then play that disc in a Pioneer AV head unit to gain a new appreciation of in-car theater.

The AVH-P3150DVD will accommodate your taste and mood. Select among the 5 (Blue/Red/Amber/Green/White) colours for display and among 112 key illumination colours to match your car interior, iPod® or dashboard lighting.
MP3/WMA/AAC Playback on DVD
MP3 playback of MP3/WMA music files burned on DVD opens up an intriguing possibility: capacity to store your entire album collection on just one or two discs, without external connections! The capacity of a 4.7 GB DVD disc to store up to around 100 hours of audio (equivalent to approximately 1 000 songs, or 100 full pre-recorded CDs), after all, far surpasses that of a typical CD.
IP-Bus
Pioneer technology for connecting multiple source units, it now allows connection of external TV tuners, Bluetooth and iPod adaptors as well as other external devices.

Bass Boost
Bass Boost offers a choice between 0 dB to 12dB level settings that can be adjusted in 2db steps, letting you set the optimal bass level for each speaker and subwoofer connected to a system, according to preference and music style. The result is more precise control over the balance of sounds to enhance the overall impact of the music you listen to.
Direct Sub Drive
Enable you to amplify your front speakers by 2 x 50W while using the rear channel outputs to drive the subwoofer to enjoy outstanding full power bass without an extra amplifier.
Advanced Sound Retriever
Hear the glory of original sound across a deeper, wider spectrum from highly compressed MP3 and WMA files stored on a USB memory device. By compensating for data (especially higher frequencies) that tend to get lost in the digital compression process, Pioneer's Advanced Sound Retriever technology enhances audio reproduction nearly all the way up to 20kHz frequencies.
Built in 50W x 4 Channel High-Power MOSFET Amplifier
To minimize voltage loss in its head unit amplifiers, Pioneer built-in high-performance Power MOSFET integrated circuitry into all its head units. The MOSFET amplifier processes signals more efficiently at 50W x 4 maximum total output. This reduces distortion to virtually nothing at high frequency ranges giving you great clear sound.
Supertuner IIID
For superior AM/FM radio reception and enjoyment. Digital circuitry is used to deliver excellent radio performance in all conditions including situations where the signal is poor or degraded.
EEQ – Easy Equalizer (3 band parametric)
You can adjust the sound according to the music you listen to. Switch between five preset equalization curves (Super Bass, Powerful, Natural, Vocal, Flat) simply by pushing the EQ button. You can also boost the volume by selecting among three levels of loudness (high/mid/low).
Dolby Digital
This breakthrough technology offers "5.1 channels" - five discrete channels (front left & right, centre, rear left & right) , spanning frequencies from 20Hz to 20KHz, plus a low frequency effects channel dedicated to frequencies of 120Hz or below. These create an acoustic environment in which sound seems to move all around the listener, for supremely dramatic surround sound reproduction.
Wired Remote control input
Since entertainment shouldn't compromise driving safety, Pioneer engineered this feature for cars with factory-equipped remote control installed on the steering wheel to give drivers more convenient control of a Pioneer head unit without having to take their hands off the wheel (Optional adapter required, speak to your local Pioneer dealer for more information on these)
